Study in Europe Fair hosted for the first time in South Africa

On Friday, 20 May and Saturday 21 May, the Study in Europe Fair was hosted for the first time in South Africa. The fair took place at the University of Johannesburg and was organised by the European Commission in a bid to increase the number of South African students going abroad and continuing their studies in a European country (or several European countries as in the case of the Erasmus Mundus Programme).

The fair provided South African students and those students currently studying in South Africa the opportunity to receive comprehensive information on a great variety of world-class degree programmes, available research facilities and the opportunity to catch a first glimpse of the diversity of the culture and flair of the countries represented. The member states represented at the Study in Europe fair were France, Spain, Holland and Austria.

CampusFrance received a number of students wanting to pursue studies in France in diverse fields such as nanotechnology, architecture, journalism and law. With the programme search engine offered by CampusFrance (which can be found on the website, students were presented with various possibilities from the public universities to the Grandes Ecoles and other private institutions.
